THALIA is one of the Muses. She is the muse of comedy and idyllic poetry.

 

THALIA is created using one of the oldest chainmaille patterns, known as European 4 in 1, that was used for armour, but out of the finest of silver and gold fill rings (2mm rings in 0.6mm Sterling Silver wire). The rings used are so small that, when felt,  the metal actually feels like fabric!

Gold-filled, or gold overlay, is made by heat- and pressure-bonding a thin layer of karat gold to a brass (or other base metal) core.

"14/20" gold-filled material is made with 14-karat gold and the gold represents 1/20th (or 5%) of the total weight of the material.

It is not to be confused with gold plating as it literally has 100% more gold than gold plating.

Gold filled is much more valuable and tarnish resistant. It does not flake off, rub off or turn colors. In fact, anyone who can wear gold can wear gold filled without worries of any allergic reaction to the jewelry.

Gold filled jewelry is an economical alternative to solid gold! Gold filled items can last a life time with the correct care and attention. Gold filled is nickel and lead free.
